Caleb: Week Two

It's hard to believe Caleb is already two weeks old!!!  As tired as I am, I'm pretty sure I have it relatively easy.  Caleb sleeps long stretches (3-5hours) during the night.  His current routine is to be wide awake for several long hours during the morning and late evening and then sleep long stretches during the afternoon and at night.  He cluster-feeds while awake, which I don't mind because he will then sleep for a long time!

Caleb weighed in at 9lbs 6oz yesterday....that's a pound and a half in two weeks folks!!!!  And he hasn't gotten any longer!  Can we say chunk-a-hunk?!  Goodbye newborn clothes.

Caleb is a snuggle bug.  The only time he will ever use his legs is to push up to nestle under my chin while he's snuggled to my chest.  He prefers his arms outside of his blanket when swaddled, and tucked up under his chin if curled up on my chest.

Personally, I think Caleb has a very "mature" face....aka "old-mannish" 9/24
He could sleep for hours with nothing but his head resting on my hand 9/24

Savannah (disobediently) sharing baby's play-mat
My Dad was able to visit this past weekend, which was a real treat!  The kids got extra cuddles and attention, the dishes got washed, and we were able to go to the park!
Grandpa came to visit!!!!! 9/27

Swings!  Savannah's favorite
Savannah is still adjusting well.  It has helped that she's had a lot of extra grandparent attention.  This week will be the real test now that we're on our own.  She's still much more entertaining than the newborn though, so please enjoy some pics of her too!!!
Cowgirl Savvy...too cute not to post
Savannah has had to pick up some of the slack around the house, like unloading the dishwasher
