Why is the 4th of July always the hottest day of the year? Wait, I take that back....the second hottest day of the year. Rodeo is THE hottest day of the year. And why does heat always accompany a parade?
This 4th of July we went to the Danville Parade. Matt and Savannah just LOVE parades. This pregnant lady tolerated it as best as possible. Luckily we had a spot in the shade, but unfortunately we forgot chairs so we sat on the curb.

We love family time! |
After the parade we joined some friends for brunch, came home to rest and do chores around the house, then went to a BBQ at our friends Marc and Heather's house. We kept Savannah up late so she could see her first Fireworks show! At first she wasn't sure what to think of them (we were a bit far from them) but after awhile she kept asking for more. Tonight before bed she kept saying "more fireworks" and I'm not sure I successfully got the point across that fireworks only come once a year.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!
