Shamrocks and Savvy's Shenanigans

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Shamrock Decorations
Sticky Fun!
Making Cookies with Grandma Barb!
"Roll the dough, yeah roll the dough"
She's very careful when it comes to cookies.
Decorating!
The eyeballs were Savvy's idea
She got one cookie....and then Mommy and Grandma ate the rest

Leprechaun beard!
"Finger" Paints turned into body art
We tried to get Savvy to make shamrocks....
...instead she turned herself into a Leprechaun
Other shenanigans of the spirited Savannah....
That's not a black eye...it's marker.
Daddy completed the look
Dressed up for Spring....too cute to NOT take a photo!
Queen of In-n-Out
Funny Story: While at In-n-Out Matt and I got to chatting and Savannah was playing quietly with her stickers (a rare moment).  Next thing I know, Matt asks me if I had helped Savvy with her sticker.  I hadn't...I hadn't even been paying attention to her.  She placed each dinosaur on its respective shadow all by herself, which rather impressed us!
Queen of spacial recognition!

Reading book on the lawn on a Sunny Winter/Spring day
Savannah's favorite activity(other than reading) is singing...and she now sings songs and recites nursery rhymes all by herself.  Her favorites are Old MacDonald, This Old Man, Twinkle Twinkle little Star, ABC's, Jesus Loves Me, Jesus Loves the Little Children, and the 5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.  Oh, and bedtime routine song in the video below:

Now if you are my Mother, or my Father...or a cop...please don't proceed.  Otherwise, please continue.  One of the highlights of our day is greeting Daddy when he gets home from work.  Now that it's light later Savvy gets to greet him on the sidewalk and watch and wave as he rides up the street.  Matt decided that age two is old enough to do this....

6 Months Already?!!!

I can't believe Caleb is six months old!!!!!  Tomorrow he'll be walking and the day after that he'll be headed off for college.

Caleb weighs 18lbs and is 27" long....ummmm....that's only about 60% in height and weight...what a shrimp!!! He takes two long naps on a good day (sometimes still needing three shorter naps) and only wakes up once at night. Caleb is slowly getting less fussy as he finds new ways to explore the world around him.  He chews on everything he can get his hands on and still grunts like a caveman when he sees others eating food.  I can not shovel food into his mouth fast enough!!!!  He gets a daily dose of prunes to help his system from getting clogged up (TMI?)  He still prefers to NOT be on his tummy, and although he is perfectly capable of rolling around he rarely will rolls further than onto his side.  He is ticklish just about everywhere and has a deep belly laugh that will melt your heart.

Savvy says "I share with you!"
Loves to make his own applesauce
Making out with the cute baby in the mirror
Ride 'em cowboy!
Smiles to make up for the projectile poop he'd just made
why not?
First time sitting up in the grocery cart did not go over very well
"The fastest way to a man's heart is through his belly"
All of a sudden one day he discovered scrunching his nose
Caleb's favorite new hand-me-down train

I can't sleep so I found myself browsing my recent photos on my phone and found this video from the other day that totally deserves to be blogged.

Horse Kisses

Often when we run errands on the other side of town we will take the scenic route through the vineyards and ranches so Savannah can say hi to a particular group of horses.  Here are some fun photos (and videos) I took of the overly-friendly horses!
Oh hi horsey!
I love you horsey
No means NO!!!
What started out as an innocent relationship...
...got fresh very quickly
